Students created corrugated cardboard furniture for refugees and victims of natural disasters

The Finnish University of Applied Sciences Lahti is popular not only because of its level of education, but also by 10 unique students who created furniture for refugees and disaster victims from corrugated cardboard. This furniture is ideal for people who have been forced to leave their home, because it can be quickly and easily assembled. Items from the collection of furniture called "Rehome" are made of inexpensive cardboard and plywood. Creative students have already started to cooperate with the Finnish Red Cross.

Corrugated cardboard is a material that everyone can afford. The whole structure consists of separate square blocks connected according to the example of a puzzle-puzzle.

From this material you can make not only beds and bedside tables, but also a whole dining area.

This modest sleeping place can be easily assembled at the site of a natural disaster, in a camp, in nature, or immediately after moving to a new apartment while your furniture is not yet available.
